Vision Statement

At Shafton Primary we believe in providing a creative, safe learning environment in which a child can develop and grow; we believe in preparing pupils for the challenges ahead. We believe that a caring school produces a caring community. Providing the tools of learning in this environment allows the pupils the opportunity to express themselves, academically, creatively, and physically. We believe we all have talents which are respected, valued, encouraged and celebrated in the discovery of pupils talents.

We believe imagination leads to exploration of thought which leads to the creation of individuality and self discovery. Teachers are no longer teachers, but skilled navigators along the journey of learning and development through an increasingly complex world. We believe in maintaining our traditional values, but also embrace forward thinking and technological advances. Imagination is the key to all learning, through this door our pupils can change dreams into reality. Self esteem enhances self confidence. Teamwork and mutual respect combined with inspirational teaching produces highly motivated pupils who respond enthusiastically. Anything is possible, praise a pupil and the possibilities are endless!
