YEAR 6 LEAVERS TREAT XSCAPE CASTLEFORD TUESDAY 20 JULY

Dear Parent

We have arranged for Class 8’s Leavers’ Treat to be held at the Xscape, Castleford on Tuesday 20 July. The children will be taking part in 3 activities; tobogganing, laser zone and bowling. Lunch will be provided at the complex so children will not need to bring a packed lunch.

The tobogganing is held at the Snozone and your child will need warm waterproof clothing, shoes with a good grip and gloves, as it is very cold in there. Lockers are available but require a non-refundable £1 coin.

Whilst the School will be paying for the coach and for a substantial portion of the visit we would appreciate a parental contribution of £10 towards the cost. The total cost of the visit is £25.00 per pupil.

As we have to give final numbers 10 days before, we need the reply slips to be returned before Friday 9 July along with your £10 contribution towards the visit.

We will be setting off from school at around 9.45am and will be returning at approximately 3.50pm. Please indicate below if your child will make his/her own way home.

Dear Parent

PARENTS' EVENINGS

This term's Parents' Evenings will be held on Monday 05 July and Tuesday 06 July from 1545 to 1915. As previously, an appointments system will be used. Please complete and return the attached slip to school as soon as possible but not later than Thursday 01 July.

Appointments will be allocated in order of receipt, although every effort will be made to give parents their requested times; please note that appointments may not be made outside the above times and dates. I would also like to point out that the last appointment is 19.05. As far as is possible, those with more than one child in school will not be given consecutive appointments.

In the past some parents have not arrived for their appointments; please note that we do expect parents to advise us if they cannot attend. In such cases it is at the teachers' discretion whether or not the parents will be offered another time but those who miss an appointment without letting us know beforehand will only be seen in the most exceptional circumstances.

It would be much appreciated if, whilst waiting for your appointment you would complete this years parent questionnaire and place in the tray outside your child’s classroom.
