Dear Parent

EASTER EGG COMPETITION

The 30th Easter Egg Competition will be held on Tuesday 30 March. Father Peter from Saint Luke’s Grimethorpe will be judging the entries. As usual, there will be two prizes for each class and each entrant will receive a small gift which has been kindly donated by the Co-operative Funeral Service. Entries may be brought to school from Monday 29 March and must be hard boiled, not raw, eggs! Please ensure your child’s name is on the bottom of the entry.

Will parents note that although children may ask for help with gluing, etc., obvious parental assistance will not increase their chances of winning!

VOUCHERS

Please note that we are currently collecting Sainsbury’s Active Kids and Tesco vouchers.

SPORTS RELIEF AND MARIE CURIE DONATIONS

A fun day was had by all on Fridays Sport Relief Day. So far we have collected in excess of £500.00 to send to Sports Relief.
Mari Curie Mini Pots of Care has raised a staggering £660.00 to date. The last day for returning your donations/sponsor money is Wednesday 24 March. Thank you to all who donated to these worthy causes.

During the Easter Holidays we are running a holiday club for some Yr 6 pupils. The focus for this will be Literacy and Mathematics but will be taught in a fun way, through role-play, physical activity, film making and ICT.

The dates and times are as follows:-

Tuesday   06 April1300 to 1500
Wednesday 07 April1000 to 1500

Pupils are required to bring a packed lunch but do not need to wear school uniform. However, please make sure they wear clothing suitable for physical activities.

Mr McClure and Mr Webb will be running these activities. It is important that pupils attend on all three days.

Please sign the pro-forma below if you wish your child to attend all three sessions. Pupils will enter the building via the disabled entrance by the hall door in KS1 playground.
