Dear Parent

CLASS 6 CHRISTMAS SONG

Mr Walley our Supply Teacher has been working closely with pupils of Class 6 to produce their own version of Jingle Bells.

The pupils didn’t actually know the song was Jingle Bells until a couple of weeks ago as they had been working on the rhythm track without the tune as part of their classroom music lessons. They then added percussion (chime bars, bass drum, claves etc) keyboards, recorders and all their voices. All the recording was done in the classroom and everyone contributed. The pupils have also written the lyrics for verse 2.

On Tuesday 22 December the song will be played on Dearne FM at 8.15am and after 6pm (approx 6.40pm) so set your alarm clocks and tune in!

The song can also be downloaded from our own web page www.shaftonprimary.co.uk.

Yours sincerely
