Dear Parent
ONLINE REGISTRATION
I would like to inform you of the new ‘Online Registration System’ which is now being used in school. We hope to improve attendance, unauthorised absence and late comers by using this system.
If your child is absent from school for any reason you MUST ring the school before 9.30am and inform the office. If the phone is not answered due to this time being an extremely busy one please leave a message on the answer phone. The school must monitor illness, hence ‘ill, poorly or won’t be in’ is an insufficient reason, we need to know the nature of the illness or absence.
If your child is late he/she must report to the office prior to going to the classroom. The number of minutes late will be recorded in the Online Registration System. This could be used against authorising holidays during Term time.
It is imperative that your child comes to school on time. The most important part of a lesson is the introduction, this is being missed if your child is late, and hence this could lead to a lack of understanding.
SECURITY
As I am sure you will agree security and safeguarding your child is critical, to enable us to adhere to this you must enter the school via the main reception door by pressing the buzzer and waiting to be answered, do not enter the building via other entrances.
I apologise if on occasions you have to wait a while to be let into the building but unfortunately the office can be extremely busy at times.
If you are seen walking around the building you will be asked by members of staff if you have reported to Reception. You must report to the office at all times, and will not be allowed to walk around the school after 9am and before 3.30pm.
